Community Circle Sing: April 28th 6pm-9pm Anyone who loves to sing is invited to an inaugural session of a community singing circle at Sheepscot General Store in Whitefield, Saturday, April 28th starting at 6:00 p.m. The basic plan is to take turns in requesting or offering a song, preferably one that others in the group can join in singing. Acoustic instruments are welcome, but please arrive a little early for tuning up. While songs may come from any source, the two volumes Rise Up Singing and Rise Again (https://www.riseupandsing.org/songbooks) offer a rich source of songs from folk and the blues to the Beatles. Anyone who has either of these books is urged to bring them. For more information, contact Dan Townsend (207-549-7599, oneyounggeezer@gmail.com).
We hope to make this a monthly event, happening every fourth Saturday.
Please note that the store will be closing at 6 pm. Please arrive early to purchase any snacks/beverages) If you arrive after 6 pm, please use the side door that accesses our Community Room.
