CSA

C.S.A stands for Community Supported Agriculture. It is a local system in which shareholders and farmers are joined in economic partnership. By purchasing shares early, you are helping your farmer gear up for a productive season and in turn, you receive a greater value for fresh produce.

A share costs $200, in return you receive a $225 credit that you will use to purchase our farm’s produce. This is a “debit-style” CSA, meaning that you have free-choice access to produce during our regular store hours. We track your purchases and deduct the purchase value from your balance.

We ask that you sign-up before April 15. We will send out a notification in late May/early June to let you know when produce is available to CSA members. You will have access to produce from that point until December 24, at which point you forfeit any remaining balance.

We grow organic strawberries and open the field for pick-your-own. This is a very busy time of year for us, and a key part of our income. CSA members have $50 credit per share for strawberries ($25 for half shares). In other words, you are allowed to deduct $50 worth of strawberries from each share, anything over $50 will be charged separately.
