The MIdnight Riders

The Midnight Riders, from Knox & Waldo County, and are dedicated to Smugglers, Outlaws & Pirates. They are an exciting live band that will get folks dancing to Alt. Country, Soul, Roots & Blues / Rock N Roll originals written by members of the band. Playing over 200 live shows over the last 10 years has created a strong foundation for the band to work from. With direct inspiration in style & attitude from the Drive-By Truckers, Steve Earle & Maines own Mallett Brothers Band while also paying tribute to the classic period of working class rockers that date from the 70's & 80s of Springsteen, Chinook, Costello, Ness & The Clash. Featuring Will Neils on Vocals, Mike Cole on Guitar & Vocals, Gabriel Zacchai on Bass & Jason Dean on Drums.

From Opera Houses & Islands to Granges & Barns we love playing our songs for the good people of Maine! With songs that comment on the land & people of Maine & the lives lived here. Stories & songs about Outlaws, Pirates, Weed Growers, Waldo County Girls, Lobsterbillys, Moonshine & Whiskey.

"Singer Will Neils has one of those powerful blues-rock voices that you know is great from the first note, but then he kicks it up a notch and you’re transfixed, and then he takes it even higher and suddenly you’re standing, like those Clapton fans in late ’60s London, in the presence of the divine. Sure, weed helps, but even stone sober folk will be amazed by this guy’s raw talent, and it turned out his bandmates were strong musicians, singers and songwriters, too. The Riders make roots music about Maine from the revolutionary agrarian-leftist perspective that brought you such hits as the Common Ground Country Fair and our state’s biggest cash crop" - Review of the All Roads set below by Chris Busby of The Bollard
